Tundra flew into Mt. Paozu in an effort to explore more of the different places of this planet. One might say he was “sightseeing”. He was used to moving with his weights now, so he wore them everywhere as more of a passive training method. As he looked down on the region from the sky, he could see many different creatures roaming around. Some were considerably large in size, complete with sharp teeth and a loud roar. While these carnivorous dinosaurs were not a threat to someone like him, he decided that he didn’t want to deal with potentially fighting every single animal that wandered the mountains.
While he continued to explore from above, he felt a slightly higher power level than normal tailing him. With his power hampered by the weights, this creature actually had a real chance of harming Tundra while in his first form. As he looked over his shoulder, he realized a large Pterodactyl was chasing him, and getting closer. From the expression it had on its face, it was clear that it was pursuing him.
It let out a battle cry as it caught up to him, opening its mouth to engulf him. His aura sprouted to life as he made a sharp turn upwards, narrowly avoiding the attack. It looked like he was going to get a lot more training than he originally asked for today. The dinosaur made a wide upward angle as it flew up back towards him for another attempt to end his life. Tundra focused his ki into his right hand before sharpening it into a blade.
Looking forward at the dinosaur flying directly at him, Tundra flew directly at it, bringing back his Ki blade and thrusting it forward towards the Pterodactyl’s face. It, much to his surprise, banked right to dodge the strike he launched at it. He had to hand it to the monster, it was smarter than he thought. To be honest, the Changeling fully expected it to just mindlessly ram into the blade and practically do the work for him.
Tundra sharply changed directions and chased the Pterodactyl. Due to his method of flight, he took advantage of being able to have much more control over his turns than the dinosaur did. If he kept staying directly behind it, there was no way that the monster would be able to reach him. He increased the speed of his flight, going onto the monster’s back and hanging on with one hand.
It looked like the Pterodactyl definitely didn’t like this, as it violently tried to shake Tundra off. It began doing wild twists and turns, hoping that it could lose him. Though he almost lost his grip, he used his Ki Blade to dig into the monster’s back. It cried out in pain, much to his satisfaction. Now having a more firm grip with his Ki construct, he repeatedly punched the beast in the back. The beast cried out even louder, eventually becoming weakened to the point where it could barely fly.
He could tell that the monster was getting weaker, its wings were flapping slower and slower. He looked around, realizing its flight speed was slowing down as well. It wasn’t long before it would simply fall towards the ground. He let go of the creatures back, firing off a set of five ki blasts at the Pterodactyl. Smoke filled the air as each blast landed, causing an explosion as they hit its reptilian skin. He expected to hear more cries of pain, but instead he heard silence.
Suddenly, the monster dropped out of the smoke cloud, plummeting towards the ground. He flew towards it, wanting to see where it landed. If he could manage to take a piece of it, he would keep it as a trophy. He heard a series of branches break and leaves being shaken from their trees as the Pterodactyl landed on the ground with a large thud. He landed next to its body, hearing it breathing very slowly. It was clearly clinging to its last few breaths.
Tundra walked towards its head, smirking before cutting it off the rest of the body with his Ki Sword. Feeling a sense of satisfaction, he turned it around in his arms to examine the bone structure. This was definitely a creature unique to Earth, as he didn’t come across any creature like this on other planets. There were a few races that were brought into the Planet Trade Organization that looked vaguely similar to it, sharing that fin feature on its head. He wondered if there was a correlation.
He began to hear the ground vibrate along with growling sounds coming from the large vegetation around him. It looked like that harsh landing had attracted a lot of attention. It was time to go. He flew off into the sky with his prize, thinking of where he was going to hang it up. It wasn’t really an impressive victory by any stretch…but it did kind of look cool.
